IAC Paints Alaska Airlines Xa’at Kwa’ani Livery

IAC Amarillo, Texas team proudly completes Alaska Airlines most recent custom paint scheme on a Boeing 737-800.  Xa’at Kwa’ani which means “Salmon People”.  Salmon have a special meaning and significance in the state of Alaska, the Pacific Northwest and along the West Coast.  Some travel as far as 600 miles each way…which reminds us of the travel and distance the aircraft we paint fly each day/month/year!

Some fun facts about this project:

  • 117 Gallons of paint to complete the livery
  • Four main colors used to create the livery: Midnight Blue, Atlas Blue, White and Pink
  • Turn-around time – 12 days
  • The special livery will fly for a number of years w/the application Akzo Nobel CCBC (Clear Coat Base Coat)
