Southwest Celebrates IAC’s Victorville Crew with BBQ Cookout

In celebration of another successful special livery, 30 Southwest Airlines employees came down to IAC Victorville to host a BBQ cookout for more than 150 IAC employees and 30 ComAv personnel. The original plan for the menu included burgers. However, under a tight deadline for an exotic paint scheme, SWA’s maintenance team offered to upgrade the menu to a steak cookout if IAC could deliver “Louisiana One” on the targeted date. Led by IAC Supervisor Angel Martinez, “Louisiana One” did in fact make it to New Orleans to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Mardi Gras. And a few weeks later, both SWA and IAC celebrated with a steak BBQ cookout and a special cake with the “Louisiana One” livery printed on the frosting!

A special thanks to the SWA team, including Joe Brown, J.D. Ponder, Corey Culbertson and Dwayne Parks, for living out SWA’s values as the LUV-airline. IAC is grateful to SWA for our decades-long relationship and looks forward to more successful paint events in our future together.
