Fire Suppression
Fire suppression consists of AFFF foam cannons and deluge. SCLA Airport Fire Station is located 0.25 miles from the facility 3 min response time. The air filtration system circulates the total air in the hangars every 8.5 minutes. This results in excellent airflow across the aircraft, thus removing overspray and airbourne particles. Additionally, the hangars are equipped with infra red heating directed at all portions of the aircraft, including fuselage, wings, horizontal stabilizer and vertical stabilizer. Humidity can also be added to the environment if necessary.
