IAC completes the first aircraft painting of the 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF).

IAC customer GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) completed the first conversion of the freighter for GECAS customer West Atlantic. This is a big step in freighter conversion and with Boeing announcing that they have an additional 45 orders for conversion IAC hopes to be a prime player with the aircraft MRO.

“We’re excited to be the first aircraft painting company to paint the 737-800BCF,” said IAC SVP of Operations Tom Eller. “The conversion program Boeing is offering is opening the doors for many more opportunities for our company with cargo aircraft.”

The paint event took place at Southern California Logistics Airport in Victorville, California where IAC’s state-of-the-art facility has two widebody and two narrow body hangars. This project was huge for Boeing, GECAS, West Atlantic and IAC as it pioneered the first cargo conversion aircraft.
