International Aerospace Coatings (“IAC” or the “Company”) is expanding its Global footprint by taking on a long term lease over a widebody and narrow body hangar at Safi Aviation Park in Malta (“MLA”). The widebody hangar which can accommodate all aircraft up to and including the A380 along with the narrow body hangar will form an important part of the IAC infrastructure and further strengthen the company’s ability to serve both new and existing customers.
The addition of this new strategically important location along with other hangar expansion projects underway in Texas, USA and Teruel, Spain will see IAC’s global hangar facility network grow from 19 facilities currently to 25 facilities in the coming months, further demonstrating the strength of IAC, the Global leader in aircraft painting.
IAC would like to thank the Government of Malta, INDIS and Malta Enterprise for their support and recognise the support of the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri.
Martin O’Connell, CEO of IAC, stated: “I am delighted to make this announcement. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for IAC to expand our growing footprint globally. We see Malta as a strategically important location and this expansion will help address our needs for additional capacity. I very much look forward to commencing operations at this new facility, building new relationships and ensuring we continue to deliver the same best-in-class quality service that our customers have come to expect from IAC.
