International Aerospace Coatings recently helped SWISS unveil its flagship Boeing 777-300ER, now the largest aircraft in its fleet, with a very special livery. Deemed “The Faces of SWISS,” this aircraft showcases 2500 employees of the airline from all over the world and from every facet of the business including cabin crews, ground staff, pilots, and professional staff. The large decal for the design is 450 m2 large, weighs 50 kg and is only .05 mm thick and consists of more than 700 pieces of graphic. A specialist graphics application team from IAC was deployed to Zurich to apply the montage of faces to the B777 over a period of 36 hours. The aircraft had to be ready for presentation to the World’s Press and special VIP guests, so there was no room for error or late delivery. The flagship aircraft will serve on long haul international flights including Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Bangkok.
