Tuesday, February 27th IAC welcomed guests to celebrate the official opening of their newest facility in Teruel, Spain. Martin O’Connell, CEO of IAC took to the stage with opening remarks, welcoming guests to the event and sharing IAC’s growth focus along with the journey involved in bringing the IAC Teruel project to life. Later Mr O’Connell welcomed to the Stage; Alejandro Ibrahim, Teruel Airport Director, Emma Buj, The Major of Teruel and Jorge Azcón, The President of Aragon.
The president of Aragón thanked IAC for its commitment to the region and one which he wants the “collaboration not only to be maintained, but to increase for a long time.”
“The success of IAC will decisively contribute to the development of Teruel Airport and, consequently, its province and all of Aragón. The arrival of IAC at the Teruel facilities gives rise to new activity, that of aircraft painting, which is added to the recycling and maintenance of aircraft and the aerospace activity that the company PLD Space already carries out in these facilities” – Mr Jorge Azcón. IAC’s new operations in Teruel, has created over 80 jobs for the region. This new widebody facility increases IAC’s number of facilities to 10 worldwide. IAC’s core business involves aircraft painting, aviation technical services, aircraft interior refurbishment and aircraft graphic solutions. IAC also provides engineering services and asset management solutions to help customers ensure regulatory compliance through its Eirtech Aviation Services (EAS) division. IAC’s global customer base includes aircraft manufacturers, commercial airlines, aircraft leasing companies, air cargo carriers and governments. IAC’s European headquarters is located at Shannon Airport (Ireland) and the US headquarters is in Irvine, California (USA).
