Production Manager (Night Shift) Job Description
International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) is seeking a Production Manager for its Victorville, California location. Shift is 4:30 PM-3:00 AM.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Conducts start of shift meetings with team leaders and assign daily shift targets. Ensure production processes are followed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure company environmental, health and safety policies are always upheld and enforced on hangar floor.
- Partner with quality inspection and environmental health leaders.
- Ensure production operation’s ongoing regulatory compliance with the FAA repair certificate and repair station manual
- Conduct daily customer meetings and act as main liaison with customer representatives to ensure excellent levels of communication and customer relations.
- Coordinate maintenance and schedule requirements updating the customer on the status of their aircraft. Obtain customer approvals for O & A man hours and parts as needed.
- Successfully manage all aspects of project to ensure manhours and material budgets are achieved and constantly drive for improvements of efficiency.
- Ensure a paint plan and schedule are created for each paint event to ensure all SOW items are adequately resourced and accounted for to deliver to desired KPI’s.
- Act as focal point for indirect departments (materials, facilities, quality, HR etc.) to ensure production operations are adequately supported.
- Constantly drive initiation, improvement and maintenance of hangar and facility standards with regard housekeeping and cleanliness, with focus on the 5S principles of sorting, systematic arrangement, shining, standardizing, and sustaining. of aircraft maintenance bays, paint mix rooms, and production office areas.
- Review daily personnel performance and progress on aircraft to determine if any alteration to the plan and schedule is necessary and to ensure that tasks are completed within budgeted time.
Position Requirements Include:
- Available for Shift 4:30 PM-3:00 AM
- Experience with direct labor hours and budgetary goals.
- Ability to wear full face respirators, coveralls and fall restraint equipment.
- Must pass a DOT drug and alcohol test.
- Ability to pass a ten-year background check.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts based on company and client needs.
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production management with an aviation company.
- Have working knowledge of the company inspection procedures manual (IPM) and Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office suite such as Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
