Job Title:                Financial Controller – International Aerospace Coatings (Europe)

Department:           Finance

Reporting To:         Group CFO

Must have permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.

Financial Controller

Function of Position:       

This large and high profile people manager role entails providing financial leadership to the Operations Leadership team across Europe & Asia


Main Duties:                      

Responsibility for all financials relating to the IAC Europe & Asia businesses including:

Ø  Responsibility for the month end financial close process for all European & Asian legal & operating entities, ensuring all month end related entries are correctly booked, along with balance sheet review & ownership.

Ø  Daily & weekly Operations Support & Reporting

Ø  Financial & Internal Controls review and management, ensuring effective & robust policies, procedures & controls are in place

Ø  End of year audit readiness, along with ongoing monthly balance sheet reconciliation reviews

Ø  People manager for a team of 5 persons, ensuring performance planning, coaching & mentoring, along with performance reviews are supported

Ø  Leading cross-functional initiatives, e.g. Direct Labour Cost Management, Revenue generation opportunities, Facility Ramp Up, Facility Ramp Down, Brexit, Cost Reduction Opportunities, etc.

Ø  Working Capital Management

Ø  Ad hoc project engagement


Personal Specification:

Ø  Professional Accounting qualification with +5 years industry experience.

Ø  Previous People Management experience

Ø  Languages: Fluent English

Ø  Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

Ø  Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and understand key variables to minimize risk.

Ø  Proven aptitude for process improvement / process re-engineering.

Ø  Self – starter with a high level of diligence and the ability to work on own initiative and in conjunction with other key process leaders.

Ø  Goal oriented results driven with a strong desire to see tasks through to completion. Realistic and pragmatic approach to objectives.

Ø  Demonstrated capability to solicit, influence and secure cross-functional and cross-regional senior management support.

Ø  Ability to interact comfortably and effectively at all levels within the organization including Operations & Finance Executive Management Team
